Big Emu Bob Song I Audio: PaperHaven | Lyrics: Em (BTH)

Become an Emu Bobber, grab your emu bobber bag and let’s make a positive difference together (note: we simply use empty plastic bread bags. They’re common, and also not commonly recycled. Be prepared to be complimented on your walks with your choice of repurposing an everyday item that also sends a clear message)!

Get outdoors for improved physical & mental fitness, share your stories & ideas to help inspire, connect and encourage others to join in to help tackle issues relating to litter TOGETHER!

Emu Bobbers do important work on so many levels!

Bronze Emu Bobber – I just want to get out and exercise regularly, plus help remove litter found in my local area by picking up, bagging and placing litter items straight in the landfill bin.

Good job!! Thank you for caring and removing litter from where you live!

Silver Emu Bobber – I want to record my personal contribution, so will count how many bags and weigh my litter collection to track my own impact. I will even sort and put recyclables & containers in the correct bin to help improve our circular economy.

Gold Emu Bobber – I want to record simple data so that I can see at a glance what litter items are most common in my area. I can record this easily on a Big Emu Bob® Billboard poster. I can also help drive change by using this information and submitting it to Clean Up Australia ‘Quick Count’ – Log Your Data for Clean Up Australia (note: you will need to register an event first to obtain a Clean Up Australia number).

Platinum Emu Bobber – I want to make a greater impact by completing the full survey available through my favourite litter campaign organisation. I understand how such data helps to drive change and support local advocacy efforts in assisting directly with creating solutions linked to litter and pollution.

Emus feature prominently in Aboriginal cultures. Originating from the South West Coast of Australia, The BTH Project® has consulted with local Wadjuk Noongar people. We show respect for the ongoing connection to place and the traditional custodianship of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of our Land & Sea Country, and encourage others to seek and understand more about the meaning and significance of the emu by contacting Indigenous Groups & Storytellers from your own local region.
